Thank you for planning a visit to come see our miniature horses!
Our miniature horses have brought joy to so many people throughout Naples. They have visited nursing homes, memory care units, children daycares, ABA centers and even Petsmart! Now, we would love for our minis to bring joy to you as well!! We house the minis in a small barn on our personal property. They are happy munching on hay during the day but even happier when they get visitors.
Come have a personal experience with the minis and get to know their personalities and let them bring a little joy to your day!
WHAT TO EXPECT
During your visit, your child can learn about horse anatomy, how to properly groom a mini, the basics of horse care, and how to lead a mini. For children with special needs, even brushing or stroking a mini can be therapeutic.
We know the attention span with kids can vary so visits typically run 30 minutes to 1 hour. If after 30 minutes your child is ready to move on from interacting with the minis, we do have chickens to feed and eggs they can collect! We can also set up a craft to enjoy and bring home.
This is not a petting zoo. We do not allow our minis to be hand fed or have treats of any kind.
These minis are specially trained therapy horses. Even though they are very well trained, they are still animals. Be mindful that caution is needed around all animals and please explain that to kids prior to arrival.
Please let me know ahead of time if your child has any special needs that need to be accommodated. This includes the ability to follow instructions, elopement issues, tactile sensitivity, fear of animals, allergies, wheelchairs, walkers, or any other special conditions.
The barn is outdoors so it can be hot with flies and/or mosquitoes. Please dress appropriately.

Weather can affect visits. If there is inclement weather significant enough to cause limitations on a visit, we can reschedule the visit or refund your money(if paid in advance)
PRICING INFORMATION
30 MINUTE VISIT - $30 for the first child. $10 for each additional child.
1 HOUR VISIT - $50 for 1st child. $20 for each additional child.
HOMESCHOOL GROUPS - A 1 hour visit for groups up to 7 is $100. Each additional child after 7, is $15 each.
For regularly scheduled weekly/biweekly visits, we offer a discounted rate.
We accept cash, check, or payment prior to arrival with Venmo or Paypal.
If paying with cash, please have exact amount since we do not have change.
Lead the Way Equine Therapy is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) organization which enables you to donate and receive the tax benefits. Donations go entirely towards our minis and operational expenses. We are always looking to improve and offer even more opportunities with the minis. Donations are how we can accomplish this! We truly appreciate any extra donation you are able to give.
All of the money collected for visits goes directly back into the horses and their upkeep.
This includes vet and farrier visits, supplements, feed, and projects directly related to visits with the minis. We are always looking to better your visit and make this a truly personal experience!
